The green beyond my window
beckons with a grin.
“How can you stare at screen so long,
and leave yourself within?”
The green beyond my window
whispers in my ear,
“The chores will hold, the tasks will keep,
why can’t your toes be here?”
The green beyond my window
glints with drops of rain,
And sighing, asks,”Where are your boots?”
as puddles wait in vain.
The green beyond my window
peeks in, and ponders long,
“Why do you stay inside those walls
when ‘out’ is full of song?”
The green beyond my window
sings sweet in notes I know.
I’ll heed its voice –
I have a choice –
Outside is where I’ll go!
its simple yet so beautiful ,i luv it π
Thanks! Yeah – no deep hidden mysteries in this one – but sometimes that’s ok too. Most of mine have been pretty dark lately -so it is good to strive for some balance, too. Cheers!

Some things stick with us for a lifetime.
I also see that, like me, you are ‘a work in progress’! π
