We live our lives
as tiny beings in a forgetful sea;
microcosm of madness,
ignored,
trodden upon,
or eaten alive.
Yet in our miniature world,
what higher calling is there
than to leave the soil
enriched for our having existed?
No lofty super-heroic global cause,
but fertilizing one
square
inch
at a time…
It’s so nice to look each of the pictures you post on your blog as well as the words. It’s always fascinating! 🙂
Thank you Mack! I’m glad you are enjoying them. I am really finding a lot of contentment in taking them, and in the writing process as well!
Just when I think you’ve surpassed yesterday’s excellence, there’s more–this one really encourages me to believe I’m fulfilling the calling to “one square inch”. Beautiful work, Melody–thank you so much. God bless you–love, Caddo
‘Little is much’ – I’m so glad my little counts! 🙂
Melody,
I love this one!
Thank you, Maria! It is so good to remember that ‘little is much’, some days! 🙂
