Your love strings gems,
perfectly petalled pearls
to compliment my
throat. Its necklace
encircles the hollows
where my pulse keeps
time to the breath
which was Your first good gift.
My value increases,
thus dressed – for,
draped with Your signature,
I become who I was
designed to be, on
Jeweller’s best letterhead.
Your love christens me
beautiful,
rosebud ravishing;
my spirit thirsts for
more of this untamed
and magnificent Lover,
whose extravagance
strings gems.
Awww…a real gem; gorgeous.
🙂 Thanks, Gallivanta!
Not fair–now I have a 2nd fave in one week!!! This one is both exquisite and delightful–and I wish I’d written it first!! (Those look like baby peonies, but they can’t be, right?) God bless you BIG–love, sis Caddo
They are a flowering plum – baby rosettes, delightfully sweet. I haven’t had the chance to be out with my camera for a few days – I hope they are in full bloom soon, for some more writing fun! 🙂
Wow, flowering plum–do they bear fruit? As my cherry trees do not–just wonderful pink snow petals (or white).
No, these don’t. And they only bloom for a day or two – inevitably during a windstorm, so they blow off in a matter of hours. *sigh* But they sure are pretty!
Sometimes it is the transient things which are most beautiful, cherished–no? Love to you today, Mel.
Thanks, Caddo – I will soak it up and let it bolster me! 🙂
As soon as I saw that picture – I pictured an entire room decorated based around the flowers.
How lovely! And it would smell great!
Aaahh…”your love christens me beautiful”…love the thought. This poem is a beauty to read. And oh, how much He must really love us!!!
What a delicious thought! I so agree, Patty.
Melody, this is a “perfectly petalled” poem! I also love the shade of pink your “pearls” wear.
Blessings ~ Wendy
Thanks Wendy! It is such a joy to have all my old flowering friends back…
