Life has hurt you; I can see
The scars from where you’ve burned –
If you’ll let go, that frailty
Could be a leaf to turn.
For something new to grow again
Where only wounds have bloomed,
The old must drop; there, space obtained,
Spring’s vigor can resume.
So say good-bye to autumn’s jaws,
To fronds aglow with strife;
For after Winter’s healing pause,
Your soul will burst to life.
Thank you for the hope in this . . .and the encouragement to let go! :).
Thanks Deb! 🙂
Beautiful Melody!
Thanks Wendell!
I am glad spring vigor is here, today. First day of daylight saving, and it was blissful to have the door to the porch open, and daylight shining on our evening meal. Happy day!
So happy! Things are winding down here. Many happy memories of meals outdoors or s’mores on a fire to store up for the cold dark season ahead.
Do you gather some of the autumn leaves and keep them inside during the winter to remind you of the warmth of summer? I usually have a collection of warm coloured autumn leaves and nuts in a special bowl throughout the winter. I adore their rich colours.
I haven’t done that for quite some time. I used to try pressing leaves with varying degrees of success. We have tons of pine cones… maybe it’s time for a new project?
Pressing leaves is not my forte! Yes, a new project for winter sounds like a splendid idea.
