As the Rain Drops

As the rain drops                                      Cold and wet the world’s tears                                                     Driven…

As the rain drops

                                     Cold and wet

the world’s tears

                                                    Driven by cloud-fury

green the grass

                                                           Laden with bitter and broken

bless the farmer

                                              Dismal and dark

and make of the earth

                                 Painfully intoxicating

a bread basket…

Thank you! We’re in for a lot of rain in the next few days – it will be GREEN GREEN GREEN!

What a beautiful picture, Melody! I don’t particularly love rain but I can recognize its beauty anytime…
And I also love how you suggest the rain drops are “world’s tears”, I used to say the Universe is crying when it was raining…now, I’m not so romantic anymore 😦

Your romance is being poured into a different direction, that’s all…my daughter took this picture. She is a much better photographer than me.

Congratulations to her, she did an excellent job! But I bet you just underestimate you. Moms tend to do that, for some strange reason 🙂

I really liked this. Today, I’m in one of those moods where I could use some rainy weather. In some odd sort of way, it’s soothing to me!

Hey – your blog disappeared! Are you okay?? I’ve been wondering how you were. Usually when I disappear it means something has come up in life…I hope and pray that all is well with you! (Maybe I could send some rain your way??) 🙂

When things get a little topsy-turvy, I tend to use escapes, such as blogging. Unfortunately, I lose track of my priorities. I deleted the blog for my own good, for now. I’m actually over on blogger, trying to decide what I want to do. Looking for a way to bring in some income from home, until I get my business up and running, again. I don’t like blogger though, and am not sure if I want to go that route!

Aside from the usual twists and turns of life, things are OK. Just trying to stay above water, for now!

My other blog is on blogger and it has its merits – and its demerits, too. What type of work are you looking for? Guest writing? I’d be glad to be making money at something from home, too, but it looks as though I’m a few years too late..the market out in cyber-space looks tighter than its legend suggests.

I’m kinda looking for “what-ever”. Real specific, huh? In the past, I ran an administrative service from home. My projects ended around the same time I started homeschooling & I just sort-of let it die out. Big mistake, when I look back on it. I do enjoy blogging though, & thought that if I could make a few extra bucks while I blog. . . it might help. I understand what you mean, when you say the market in cyber-space is tight!

If you like, you can visit me at http://www.coffeegodandgardening.blogspot.com. I’m still deciding what to do, but I’m there for now!

It must have worked! I hear thunder in the distance. . .

Ta da! 🙂 Let me know how your experiences with blogger v. WP turn out. Happy gardening!
