Poetry 101

At 100 degrees, my tea has boiled; With 100 stains, my socks are soiled. 100 rips makes a holey shirt, 100 piles is a lot of dirt. 100 pennies make up a dollar, 100 blogs is a lot to foller. Wish me 100 cheers today – My blog has 100 posts – hooray! I just…

At 100 degrees, my tea has boiled;

With 100 stains, my socks are soiled.

100 rips makes a holey shirt,

100 piles is a lot of dirt.

100 pennies make up a dollar,

100 blogs is a lot to foller.

Wish me 100 cheers today –

My blog has 100 posts – hooray!

I just realized that my last poem, ‘You Hide Your Scars Well’, was my 100th post on this blog!  So that makes this one post 101.  Hence the brilliant name. And mathematically intriguing photo.  (Did you think you were attending a poetry class??  Please do keep your grave disappointment to a minimum.  This is a family blog…)

      Thanks Maria! I am trying to become more mindful of things I can celebrate – it helps to balance the difficult and dark things better!

        It does help! And it’s certain we’re called to be grateful.

    Thanks for letting me camp out in your blog for a little while. I had a great time and tried to leave my campsite as clean as when I arrived. I’ll be back!

      *chuckle* Cool way to express it, Russel – you are welcome back any time. Your carbon footprint was negligible… 🙂
