Your crepe paper garb leaves nothing to the imagination.
Your transparency is visceral, daring, alarming.
Your veins throb with your life-blood,
Illuminated by midsummer sun;
I see right through you.
You actually are
Real, true,
You.

Thank you!
How I missed your beautiful blog! I knew I would but haven’t realized how much I did until now.
It feels so good to be back 🙂
Hugs
Do you have better internet service now??
I like this one, especially–because you describe it as “crepe paper”, which is so perfect!! And of course I love the message about authenticity!! God bless you Big today! love, Caddo
Being authentic is so very important – I think we all have strong words for the ‘fakes’ we run into…so a good reminder to us all to be real!
So well done! Remember the Velveteen Rabbit.
Right – shades of lots of stories and songs in this one. 🙂
Wonderful!
Thanks Maria! How is your writing project going?
Melody, I’m more than halfway through another revision. Thank you for remembering about this!
I just peeked at some zone 9 plants – rhododendrons and cannas and dahlias for flowers. Wisteria vine to climb up the house. If you’re talking trees, it would be figs, lemons, oranges… I wish! If it is garden stuff, cantaloupe and watermelon – can’t grow those here! Time of year?? Is it for a yard landscaping, or for veggie production? Anyway, if I could, I’d plant the ones listed. You can fit them to the context you need….
Thank you, Melody!!
