Immersed in gold,
A baptism of fire;
Liquified assets
Cabled by wire.
Locked in a vault,
Deposit of Kings;
Memories gilded
To last ’til the spring.

I am memorizing whatever I can from my autumn garden – I need to deposit enough ‘gold’ to last me until spring!
The camera helps wonderfully with memorizing, doesn’t it? I love your garden flower photos and poems. My flowers didn’t do well this year because of our Wisconsin drought, so thanks for sharing yours.
Ah, that’s too bad. The weather patterns all over the country were strange this year, weren’t they? Yes – photography helps a LOT in the memorization! 🙂
Great idea, Melody–and it worked so well into verse, too!! God bless you–love, Caddo
Some do, some don’t. Thank you! I loved how ‘golden’ this image was – both the subject and the background.
I loved everything about this one, the perfect lines and images and the whole context of it! Hope the memorization works, Melody! 🙂
🙂 I hope so, too! Thanks Debbie!
Beautiful thought and poem! I often take pictures just for me, and just so I can remember how my yard or flowerbed looked at a certain point in time.
