texturized throw-rugs,
a carpet of has-beens to decorate the past.
Last season’s castaways,
hand-me-downs,
crawling advertisement to former glory.

Recycled refuse,
using old in modern ways,
decorator’s dream.

IT’s the time of year when you go through your children’s closets and see what fits and what doesn’t – it was fun to imagine these leaves as last year’s fashions! 🙂
Initially, I was thinking “castaways–like on a deserted island”, though I understand where you’re coming from, last year’s fashions. Hmm, maybe I should work on a poem with my interpretation of the term…

Today’s favorite for me. I enjoy shopping at second hand stores. When leaves land everywhere, I see potential compost material… besides, if they land in my woodland area – I just leaf them there!
