Clear This Path

Life can be – messy. Confusing. Complicated. The path we tread is often concealed by debris left behind from the Fall. It’s so easy to lose our way when we are afraid to wade in, engage with the  mayhem, combat the clutter, step on things that crunch or go bump in the night. But if you…

Life can be – messy.

Confusing.

Complicated.

The path we tread

is often concealed by debris

left behind from the Fall.

It’s so easy to lose our way

when we are afraid to wade in,

engage with the  mayhem,

combat the clutter,

step on things that crunch

or go bump in the night.

But

if you hold my hand,

and I pin my heart to my sleeve,

we just might

muddle our way through.

Turn the tables on turmoil.

Clear this path.

Together.

That’s nice, Melody–I like the idea that we don’t have to do this by ourselves; we can risk some trust, partner up = shared victories, eh? God bless you–love, Caddo

It speaks again to our vulnerability – the risk we must take to connect with another. The trade-off is help and companionship for the difficult journey ahead…

What’s not-so-funny is that we totally agree/accept this when we’re feeling relatively strong–but when we really need to embrace it, is when we feel so vulnerable, and we’re scared to death…

So so true! Depends on the day, almost. *sigh*

      3. Caddo Veil

Exactly, Melody!! I could just punch myself, some days–though that doesn’t really avail much good… Wishing you a Fab Friday–the weekend’s about here, if that helps, eh?

      4. melodylowes

        Indeed! 🙂

      Grazie, Antonio! 🙂

I like how you saw the leaves as messy this time . . .and another lesson on how to get through the messy! Thanks Melody!

    1. melodylowes

Thanks Debbie. *sigh* There are SO many lessons to learn… I guess we just keep plugging away at it, a little at a time.

Do I smell a Poetry Kindle coming out soon?

    1. melodylowes

🙂 Not sure – I had thought about collecting some and making a few copies just for family and friends for a gift. I don’t really know much about e-book formatting, etc.

It is a pain, I would do it in December. But just throw it out on Melody, I am sure would hop on it!.
        Blessings, Bill

        Thanks Bill!

Yes – life can be messy!

    1. melodylowes

I guess expecting it to be nice and neat is pretty unrealistic. Sometimes it’s nice to be ‘given permission’ to see it as a mess – and permission to know that it’s okay if things get messy. Thanks, Lyle!

      1. lylekrahn

That’s a good way to describe it. I’m not entirely sure why we are continually surprised by messy.

“if you hold my hand” is such a comforting line. We’re not left alone to tackle everything.

Isn’t that a wonderful truth? Thank you for your insights, Wendy. 🙂
