That next step looks pretty risky.
It will stretch your resources,
extend your limbs,
test your stamina.
You feel small,
unsure,
weak.
But if you never take that step,
you’ll stay rooted there
in the Middle Lands,
and never know
what’s
up…
The Middle Lands have that illusion of safety attached, but it IS an illusion, it’s not safe–and frankly, it gets old after awhile.
So true – it reminds me of the ‘I wish you were either cold or hot’ passage somehow. Oh, to courageously take that next step!
Sometimes we have to be so miserable, or so bored–to propel us forward! Must be part of the “human condition”, eh?
Unfortunately, yes!
Beautifully written and all too true!
Thank you! It takes a lot of courage to get where we need to go, doesn’t it? Life is more about risk and challenge than stagnation and comfort, I think. A difficult truth!
That is so true. It is scary to take that step though
Isn’t it? Cats always seem to seek out the highest vantage point somehow – quite a worthy trait, really…
It is. I don’t know if you have ever seen the footage of a cat that is on top of a telegraph pole, and when they try to hook it, the cat jumps, hits the ground and carries on going. Very impressive.
Ah, methinks there is a life lesson hidden in that, as well! ๐
Yep .. jump lol
Oh, to have the legs of a cat, and the where-with-all to land on one’s feet! ๐
That would be brilliant ๐
Once again you amaze me at what you wrote from the kitty pic! ๐ God bless you!
Thanks Debbie! ๐ She’s pretty cute, isn’t she?
True. Sometimes we just gotta’ take that leap o’ faith!
I think so too! (As tough as that is…)
This is the cutest thing I’ve seen lately (except for Ellie, of course, hehe). I just wanna hug and play with that little ball of fur, like 24/7 ๐
Hugs and kisses, lovely Melody
Thank you Petro! I have been so missing your beautiful self swimming around in cyber-space. I look forward to every smile! This little ball of fur is in danger of wrapping all of us around its little tail, for sure. ๐
Then it’s time to take courage and be reborn.
I agree – take that next step, and then the next and the next, until you are in a new place….
