Copper leaves and copper dial,
counting down the hours to snow;
tawny henna’s fiery trial,
acting out its fall tableaux.
Father Time gives warning shout,
“Make haste, make haste, the autumn fades!”
Accordingly, the world blacks out,
playing season’s last charades.
Beautiful rich picture and delightful words! It is time to add a wool blanket to our beds…
Blessings ~ Wendy
Good idea – bring on the comfort! 🙂
No color left here. LOL! Your pictures are increasingly beautiful. Have you taken a photog course or just played around more with settings?
I’ve started doing a bit of editing in picmonkey online – pretty basic, but lots of fun. The snow hit us yesterday, and I haven’t had time to snap any photos yet, so my blog is a bit behind in the reality department! *giggle*
This is WOW-Wonderful, Melody!! I totally love your sundial, and these words are poetically perfect. (We’ve had snow in the mountains, but prayer-hopefully we won’t get much where I am.)
My world has been white for the past two days – haven’t had the time to get out and snap any pics yet, so my blog is lagging behind my outdoor reality. Hopefully it will melt and we’ll have a few more weeks without??
White world–doesn’t sound good to me, a’ tall!
I hope there are lots of hours left before we see snow.I’m not ready 😉
We’ve already had a few days of wet, soppy snow – too overcast and breezy to get any good photos yet. 😦 It’s here, and I’m not ready!!
This poem just flowed so perfectly, Melody! Like time! God bless you and these days ahead!
Thank you so much!
