Diamonds scattered in the snow,
Twinkle, twinkle, tiny stars;
Viewing life through children’s eyes,
Look how rich we really are!
*
When my daughter was small, she pointed out the snowy diamonds with the delight peculiar to tiny children, declaring, “Mommy, we’re rich!” I will never forget this life lesson – or its charming teacher!
Lovely!
Thank you!
How sweet 🙂
A nice thought, yes? 🙂
Yes it is 🙂
Beautiful post! I just love the things children say!
Blessings ~ Wendy
I do too – thanks, Wendy!
That’s a good life lesson that’s easy to forget.
Isn’t it? Life pounds the diamonds out of our sight sometimes… remembering is good for the soul!
I love all of it!! The beautiful photo, the verse–and especially the anecdote, Melody!! Yes, we are rich, indeed! God bless you and your family–love, Caddo
Thank you Caddo! The life lessons heap up around us, that’s for sure…
Your daughter was right on with that!
Nature is full of gems.
Isn’t it! Thanks Rosy!
Love it…out of the mouths of babes!
Isn’t that the truth!
Now we have this beautiful story to think of too, along with your poem and photo. Thank you for reminding how rich we are today! God bless you!
Thanks Debbie!
