Wonderful photo and poem! I’ve met someone just like this. When I struck up a conversation with this little lady, I was rewarded with the sweetest heart. She reminded me so much of my grandmother. Humble and warm…

I am reminded of your post about your scary guy – we never see very far beyond what the outer surface is, unless a person shares their heart with us – I’m glad Jesus sees the ‘inside’ us!
I am realizing as I get older that the older generation are more human than I knew – I didn’t expect to feel the same in an older body somehow. I see that our world doesn’t hold our elders in the place of respect that we ought – and for a person who never grew up with a significant or positive relationship to an older person, I am now learning myself to see beyond idiosyncrasies to the true value beneath. Thanks for coming along for that ride with me!
Thank you! The ride is dandy – now in a horse-drawn sleigh, with bells and such. So glad for you that the Lord is making up for what you missed in learning about seniors from someone close whom you could relate to well! In perfect ways, He makes up for learning that we have missed.

Photo & words filled with a warm beauty!
Ooh, thanks – that’s a keeper! 🙂
Melody, you have hit the mark – the image brought me here, but the words are full of grace.

So true! Thanks, Maria!
Love your photo and warmth amongst the snow, Melody! Thanks for sharing?
Thanks Glenda!
I’m so glad that Jesus knows our hearts and helps us see others too, the way He does! Beautiful, Melody!
Thanks Debbie! I’m extra thankful for that, too. What a picture of grace!
My day job is to provide care for an 89yr old woman who is losing her battle with Alzheimer’s. Your words are a picture of her.
I’m sure you can see what others can’t, when you spend so much time with her. Be blessed as you serve her in her final days!
