Shimmer Dance

Shimmer dance on yon horizon,

winking, blinking, nodding eye;

watching Sons of Adam’s antics,

shrinking, shamed, such things to spy.

*

If the sun could speak of human history,

what would it say?

    My guess? “Not again!”

  2. Your posts are always so lovely! And great photography, too! Looks like you have received quite a bit of snow so far. ๐Ÿ™‚

      Thank you! Yes, we have had more snow than usual for this early in the season – it came in October and hasn’t really left! A little early for me – it makes the season feel so long by spring – but lots of photo fodder, that’s for sure!

  3. The question at the end is a powerful one which we need to stop and ask of ourselves.

    Thank you Melody

  4. I hope that it might be able to say that it was half full? Doubtful…

      It has witnessed so much pain and sorrow and strife – a sobering thought, indeed! But – it has also seen joy, triumph, hope! And it waits in eager anticipation for the day all will be put to rights – we can cling to that, can’t we?

    New to your work via Rife, Melody. Love love love it. Love the spirit of it as well. Clearly your roots are finding deep, pure water these days from which to drink. Quenches my own thirst and leaves me longing for more.

    Everything and nothing – simultaneously…

    Gorgeous sunset. The sun might be benevolent and tell us of all the wonderful happenings in human history. I think for every ghastly evil moment there are thousands upon thousands of wonderful moments and acts of kindness. Is that too optimistic?
