Open Fingers

Blessings fall from heaven’s storehouse, light on objects far below; only hands with open fingers catch the ones that grace bestows. * Doesn’t this look like an open palm waiting to catch something wonderful?

So it’s not just me? 🙂

        It’s not just ..us? 🙂

        🙂 Apparently not…

Yes, it does, Melody! What a lovely way to remind us to walk with open palms so that we may be blessed, and then bless others with this same grace.

Thank you Wendy – you’re right, accepting blessings is to release them again into the world around us – the only way to truly recycle grace!

The theme of hands–whether open, grasping, tight-fisted, strong/limp–always provides for a wealth of writing. Thanks for the reminder, Melody–maybe I’ll work on a poem, in between sneezing and groaning (when you’re alone, you’re entitled to whine as loudly as you want!).

Indeed! Under the weather, are yo?? 😦

Kind of. Minor, but oh-so-grumpy. Determined to be in excellent shape by Monday, as it’s a busy week…

I’m hoping my coming week slows down some!

I love this one!! It makes me think of all the blessings God would like to bestow on us, if we but would receive them with open hands. Beautiful.

I wonder how much we miss out on, along with you! Thanks Daisy.

Yes, it does look like an open palm. You have made me take a second look at the trees and flowers which have to be open and “palmed” to receive the blessings of rain and sun which make them flourish. I think I might walk around all day with my palms open and my arms wide and see if blessings light upon me. Will someone be moved to do my washing and cook and scrub? 😀

Try it and let me know how it works out for you! If you are successful – let me in on your secret methods! 🙂

Well, I feel better and more relaxed, so that’s a blessing. Still cooking the dinner though.
