Night-time gazing overhead
puts daily turmoil into place,
inky depths on silken thread
define the infinite of space;
and while my tears in silence fall,
I am but one on cosmic plane;
galaxies count such sorrows small –
I am but single link in chain.
beautiful pic!!
Thanks Shantelle!!
I have nominated your blog for the Blog of the Year 2012 Award! Please find the details at http://tinylessonsblog.com/2012/12/17/three-stars-thank-you/. Congratulations!
Thank you very much!! I am no longer accepting these awards due to time constraints – I barely have time to write – but I do appreciate your nomination and will drop by to check out your other nominations! 🙂
Beautiful – beautiful! ( for poem and picture… Melody)
Blessings ~ Wendy
Thanks Wendy!
Beautiful poem.
Thank you!
All the hairs of your pics head have been numbered… uh, needles. 😀
Ha ha!! 😀
Ah, I see you too like the ‘silken thread’! Do you see a very clear night sky where you are? Free of visual pollution from cities etc. If you do, it must be an amazing sight.
The Milky Way is absolutely amazing on a dark and clear night – we have few neighbours closer than a few miles away, so our views are pretty ‘au naturel’. 🙂
Oh so wonderful!
I rather like the chain and links image, Melody–I like to think I’m a small but useful link too.
Thanks Caddo – I’m quite sure you are holding our global chain together quite well, thank you!!
Ohhh, bless your heart–maybe our links are pretty close together!
Now isn’t THAT a great thought?
I’m so glad for your link! God bless you, Melody!
Aw, how sweet. I feel all warm and snuggly inside… 🙂
