I’m holding my breath, lest it melt all your silver,
I’m exhaling slow, lest excitement consume;
I’m slowing my heart, lest its beats quell your music,
I’m stilling my soul, lest its vibrance entomb.

Some moments are meant to be savoured, slow…
Ah, so that’s how I feel today! I was trying to find the words, and you nailed it for me.
π Enjoy your moments of mindfulness!
Without a doubt one of your best, Emily… It holds me entranced and I keep reading it over and over so I can ponder its many facets… π
π ‘Emily the Entrancer’, that’s me!
π
Very Nice. Inspiring wording.
Thank you!
Savour slowly – enjoy it more!
Exactly! Thanks Rosy!
Beautifully said Melody. With the rushing of modern life we sometimes forget to take time to enjoy the little things.
Isn’t that the truth? We would do well to get in touch with that inner child more, and get caught up in the wonder of the small stuff again.
Melody, I definitely “savored” this lovely post! π
Blessings ~ Wendy
You didn’t turn blue or anything? π Don’t hold your breath TOO long, that’s my sage advice…
Funny that you should warn me not to hold my breath too long… I don’t use a tripod when I take photos – so I hold my breath thinking it will help me keep still. π I might keel over one of these times. π
Ha ha ha! I just tried that trick with my gorgeous sunset tonight – I haven’t checked whether I was successful or not!! π
I’m glad the sun was visible in your part of Canada… I’m itching to take another try at a sunset shot. But my cold has kept me housebound, anyways, until today. I’ve got my camera trigger finger ready now! ( and my breath holding – between sneezes!)
You really got hit hard! Be careful with yourself…
You said it well.
Thanks Lyle! Happy New Year to you!
This was amazing and had me holding my breath too! I loved the bit of blue in the photo! Gorgeous, Melody!
Thanks Debbie! The natural world is so beautiful and full of inspiration.
WOW-Wonderful–I love this!!!
π Thanks Caddo!
Beautiful meditation and lovely shot.
Thank you so much! π
