Sunshine’s Serenade

Tympani tap out your beat, pitter-patter at my feet, notes that songbirds’ trills repeat, raindrops unafraid. Drips and drops in double time, church-bells’ cheerful childhood chime, sweet percussion, Springtime rhyme, Sunshine’s Serenade.

      I’m singing long! 🙂

By the way – how do you make notes???

      1. Gallivanta

By luck mostly. On my laptop keyboard I press FN and ALT and then I press numbers on the numerical keypad which is incorporated in to the main keyboard. ♪ is made with FN and ALT and 1 and 3. But I told that to another friend and it didn’t work on her keyboard! There’s another way to get notes and other merry things but I haven’t had my morning coffee yet and my brain needs to think some more about that.

      2. melodylowes

🙂 After some coffee, let me know some of those merry things!

      3. Gallivanta

My computer runs on Vista so is a bit ancient but this is how I access merry things. I use Character Map.

Click the Start button , click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click Character Map. ♪♪♫ †♦ ¿¿ ╬ ∑ ☂ ☎ The only problem is that some of these characters don’t always show up on the other person’s computer. Let me know if you see any symbols. I have typed in 11 different symbols.

I see all sorts of fun things – notes and umbrellas and a telephone! 🙂 Ooh, thanks! I never knew such a thing existed before!! ♫ Look – now I can sing, too! 🙂

      5. Gallivanta

Hooray hooray. I am so happy it worked. Some of the fonts on Character Map work better than others. It’s a matter of experimentation. I think MS PMincho font works well I think. That’s where I found the umbrella and the phone.
