Her thaw has begun.

But before he can dive into

her soul,

plumb the depths of her spirit,

he must first touch her heart.

And there,

he’s on

thin ice…

Black ice is really scary but at least it has a hard base. Thin ice……must be diabolical…..I have not encountered it in real life.

It’s fun when on top of a shallow puddle – you can crack and crunch it with your boots. But over deep water…. 😦

Melody, this makes me think of some wise words Gary Smalley (author) has said about how harshness can close the heart of loved ones. Lovely poem and picture! Praying you don’t get flooded by all that melting snow…

It’s going slowly, slowly – cool temps may actually be our saving grace right now. Thanks Wendy!

Oh WOW, Yes. I pity the gent who would stumble upon me with hope in his heart…

Anyone in recovery is a bit touchy around the edges while they heal. We should have a DANGER: Thin ICE! sign, maybe?? 🙂

      1. jaels

I actually found one, used it toward the end of CV with a cranky poem about how, when folks ask us to pray for them–that’s what we should do; not lecture/advise/correct/try to “Fix” ’em.

Oh, yes – maybe it was this image that inspired subconsciously the poem I wrote! Huh. Lessons learned on the battlefield, yes?

      3. jaels

Yep, there’s always more to learn–and depending on “stuff”, I’m either excited/eager, or doing the “heavy sighing eye-rolling” thing. God’s pretty funny some days–He’ll say, “oh, you don’t want a lesson today? that’s fine, we’ll just come back to it later.” I’m slowly catching on, that it would be best to learn it today if I possible can–waiting is not gonna make it more fun/easier…

      4. melodylowes

He does that with you too, huh? 🙂

      5. jaels

Ha ha–we must be in the same class!

      6. melodylowes

        Remedial??? 😉

      7. jaels

I’m laughing, but it’s too true–Remedial for the “I’ve lost count” time!

      8. jaels

Speaking of battlefield–I’m about to order Joyce Meyer’s book, finally (if I’d gotten it 2 yrs ago, I might not have had to delete CV).
