More Snow? Really??

Softly falls the silent snow, clinging to the world below; those who sow watch in dismay – Spring will not arrive today… * OR tomorrow.   Maybe next week??  🙂

    How can this be?!!!!!!!

I DON’T KNOW!!! 😦 My husband just called and said it’s a blizzard out there this morning. Yikes! (Maybe this is a good time to work on my patience??) 🙂

      1. Gallivanta

You must already be the most patient person ever.

      2. melodylowes

Unfortunately, no. Perhaps that’s what this is all about?? 🙂

      3. Gallivanta

What is that lovely old saying? Patience is a virtue that does not grow in every garden? Does that sound right?

      4. melodylowes

It sounds lovely. Maybe I need some of those seeds… 😀

Oh, Mel–I don’t know what to say (that’s a first). I’ll try to muster up a poem to cheer/warm you.

Hubby says it’s a blizzard out on the highways this morning – sheesh and 9/10ths.

      1. jaels

OH NO–“sheesh and 9/10ths” for sure!

      2. melodylowes

It’s warm enough that the freshest snow is in puddles by now – but the old stuff remains, and the winds, she howleth. Great gravy…

      3. jaels

As someone used to say, “My word, Miss Agnes”!

I thought it’s spring now in your country…..

    1. melodylowes

It SHOULD be, according to the calendar – but we are having very unusual weather conditions here. This morning, with the fresh snow and huge winds, we are experiencing a blizzard! Usually the snow is gone by now. *sigh* It’s coming, but it’s sure slow!!

Great photo, great poem … the natural outflow of lousy weather.

    1. melodylowes

No shortage of fodder for the pen, you mean? True enough… 🙂

Dear winter – Stop being a bully & let spring..spring!

    1. melodylowes

      Exactly! Listen to Rosy!

I am so sorry … I too drove home in snow this afternoon… like a guest who is overstaying his visit way tooooo long… says he is leaving … got his bag packed and then ever so slowly unpacks his garbage again … argh…. keep you eyes on the prize, sister!!!

    1. melodylowes

I have sympathy pains on your behalf… Ugh. When it comes, there will be true cause for celebration!

  7. tootlepedal

At least you squeezed a fine picture out of a dismal situation.

    1. melodylowes

🙂 Thanks. Even those dismal things are a record of life, are they not? So into the scrapbook they go…

  8. greenlightlady

Melody, I admire that you are making the best of the snow through this lovely picture and poem! I have a slug storm moving into my garden. 😦

    Blessings ~ Wendy

Oh, oh! Get the salt shaker out…

  9. Debbie

This is so unfair! You have a garden to get at!! But, I loved the poem and photo, in the meantime . . .thank you!

    1. melodylowes

🙂 I can’t even get close to my garden yet… Ah, well. I have some writing projects on the go, so I guess it gives me some time for that and other pressing things. Like laundry.

  10. montucky

It has been staying just beyond our reach.

    1. melodylowes

Here’s to plenty of warm sunshine, then! 🙂
