In the center of her soul is a garden;
In the center of the garden is a tree.
In the center of the tree, is a bouquet;
In the center of the bouquet, is a bud.
In the center of the bud, is the choice for good and evil;
In the center of the choice, is her soul.
In the center of her soul is a garden…
Oh Wow, Mel–very intriguing.
A little different. Feeling philosophical tonight…
Lovely…and so is the new tagline :).
Thanks so much! 🙂
Oh I really love this, Melody! Thank you for going philosophical on us! 🙂
🙂 Thanks Debbie!
been having this song in my head for the last few days “Jesus in the Center of it all” … and with Him your poetry truly heals the heart! Thanks so much!!!
Thanks, Heidi! (sigh of contentment) He is the Healer – and the Center, too.
Melody,
Beautiful picture and insightful words.
The heart, the very center of our thoughts, feelings, and emotions…needs constant attention…otherwise we make wrong and yes evil choices that determine the course of our lives.
Thanks for sharing!
‘Guard your heart above all else…’ Very important advice, isn’t it?? Thanks Glenda!
I love this… Sweet and true…
Thanks for your visits today – enjoy your weekend!!
This is very “Rumi” stylistically. Lovely.
Thanks Rob!
; ^ )
Melody, this is truly a posy picked in Eden! Lovely in word and picture.
Blessings ~ Wendy
Thanks Wendy! Hey – nice updated pic!! 🙂
Different and lovely!
Thanks! 🙂
Very clever. Oh…that little bud of a choice…just keeps circling back around!
If we are clever enough to catch it! 😉 Thanks Patty!
Um yes, LOVE this!
Great! Thanks very much…
Gorgeous. And what is the lovely flower?
It’s a variety of cranberry – can’t think of the name offhand. It’s quite pretty, and covered with blooms right now! They don’t last very long – so I have to make sure I get out and enjoy them while they are around!
A fruiting variety?
Yes, although the birds get them before I do! 🙂
Melody, I really like this poem! it’s deep and circular. I like the idea of a garden in our souls. Among the numerous definitions of that place, this is a convincing one. yes.
Thanks Laura! 🙂
I didn’t think your poetry cold get better, but it has. This is excellent.
Wow, thanks, Symanntha. Nice updated pic!
Thank you! My husband, who is not good with cameras, took it.
Tell him he did a good job! 🙂
