Day’s End

  Day is dying, dignified, slipping slow to sleep; Night is sighing, signified by a darkness deep. Work is over, tasks complete, hands allowed to rest; Clouds are nodding as they greet sunset in the west.

slipping slow to sleep;

Night is sighing, signified

by a darkness deep.

Work is over, tasks complete,

hands allowed to rest;

Clouds are nodding as they greet

sunset in the west.

    Oooh, I especially like the image of clouds “nodding”! Lovely poem, start to finish, Mel!

    A gentle ending to the day. And hey, we can see the red barn without snow!

    You really should put a chapter-book of your poems together and submit it to a publisher. Your work is wonderful!
