Savour the sunshine,
feast on the breeze,
distil its essence and
learn how to squeeze
gallons of flavour
where ounces occur;
sprinkle this hour
with seasoning – and stir.

I love herbs. My dill patch is a good place to feast on the breeze as it releases its lovely summer scent…
Good thought — something we all need to do. I’m starting to notice the days getting shorter.
ME, too! The countdown is on – all the more necessary for us to enjoy the rest of the summer, one moment at a time.
You must be good, Mel–I was truly smelling the dill!
hehe Now if I could just package that gift…
that’s sooo vivid ! Wonderful again !
Thanks so much, Debbie.
Mmmmm; heavenly scents or is it heaven sent?
Maybe both! 🙂 I love fresh herbs. I love how my hands smell after picking them, too! 😀
Oh yes, it’s so good.
It’s nice to have non-metric poems for a change.
Change is always good, right?
I love dill! Lots of it was needed for cooking the grayfish for the traditional early August grayfish parties in Sweden and Finland…miss those fairly “wild” occasions of my youth. I still use it a lot, but for somewhat calmer celebrations, and I love the scent!
Funny how a certain scent can bring back all those memories!! Sounds like you’ve had plenty of international adventures in your lifetime already – cool!
good advice! 🙂
Thanks! Enjoy!!
Such a subtle sensitive “recipe”! Love it. “Savour the sunshine,
feast on the breeze,…” these lines brought me right into the “essence” of summer.
Thanks YunYi! I hope you’re enjoying your summer so far!!!
Beautiful
Thank you!
