Morning Mist

Evening ushers in the dew Which clings to every part of you And soaks you in its sloppy kiss, Dressing you in morning mist.

Evening ushers in the dew

Which clings to every part of you

And soaks you in its sloppy kiss,

Dressing you in morning mist.

Melody, fabulous! I like the usual mixture of elegance and funny ordinary idioms, like ‘sloppy kiss’!

Glad you ‘approved’ of that – I wondered when I wrote it, and then liked it well enough to leave it alone! How is the writing coming along? Did your heroine plant her garden yet?? 🙂

      1. Maria Tatham

Nope, she is a little lacka-daisy-cal in her gardening efforts…But I have been finishing up her story. I copied and pasted your notes about possible plants on the front page of the draft, with other important things not to forget to paint in later. Thank you for asking, Melody! Hope your book is doing well! Your photos and poems continue to be so very entertaining!

Thank you, my dear! think your writing is getting more focused and energized, too – maybe practice really does make perfect??
