Spectator am I, a witness to view

The evening ritual – knitting of dew;

Painting of destinies, darkening dreams,

Death of the daylight, refraction of beams

Which bow to reflect the Creator’s delight;

Adieu to Today – I bid you good night.

    Beautiful photo. Where was this taken?

      At a lake not far from here (central Saskatchewan). That was an incredible sunset – I got lots of shots of it for future use.

    Just have to say the first thought that came to mind there was Sound of Music!

      That is SO funny – I was mentally reciting ‘Adieu to you and you and you!’ and trying not to let it creep into my writing as I composed! Great minds…. 🙂

  3. Janene

    What a beautiful photo — and even more beautiful poem. Lovely, Melody. Absolutely lovely!

      Thanks Janene. (Not even the LEAST little bit geeky, then?) 🙂

      At our local lake in central Saskatchewan – pretty, isn’t it?

    This one is lovely and reverent–can’t find the exact words, so must be that it speaks for itself!! God bless you, Melody–love, Caddo

    This world of dew… a line by Issa….

      There is much to write about the marvels and beauty of the dew….

    Lovely picture and poem – Saskatchewan looks like a nice place to be in the evening! 🙂

      ‘Land of the Living Skies’ is our motto – harvest sunsets are remarkable because of all the grain dust in the air – somehow the colours are extra magnificent. Harvest is just around the corner, so there should be lots of these to come!
