If you can’t see the trees for the forest,
then walk in the shade of the wood;
it is there that your heart softly lingers
when you feel that you’re misunderstood.
Breathe pine-scented breaths while the lichen
caresses the trail at your feet;
there God’s song of welcome entices,
where breezes and bird chorus meet.
Melody, I loved this poem and the great accompanying visual. While you posted this, I found a similar theme in our present travels in an unexpected way.

You’ve got me curious – I hope you will post about your experiences? 🙂

You’ve captured the healing balm of the Lord’s creation perfectly in this post and involved all the senses! I love being outside… ~ Wendy
This was taken at a beautiful lake resort – there is much to inspire when in the great outdoors, isn’t there? Thank you, Wendy!
Melody,
Recouping from a six day travel and have missed your musings. A balm for the soul!
Thank you! Hopefully your journey was also refreshing – a break does something for the soul, too!
I was out all day “slaying dragons”… but before turning in tonight, I couldn’t resist stopping for a short walk in the shade in your woods. Many thanks.
This post says it’s 8:28 p.m. … but here it’s going on 11…. Good Night… Pleasant dreams…
Good night, Dragon Slayer! 🙂

Lovely, Melody.
