Dreaming of Home

Alone. Solitary confinement has drawn invisible barriers that hurt to break. Desolate. She travels light and only in her dreams will her seed rise up to bless her. Friendless. Hers are the cries of the gulls on the shore, mourning her losses, dreaming of home.

Alone.

Solitary confinement

has drawn invisible barriers

that hurt to break.

Desolate.

She travels light

and only in her dreams

will her seed rise up

to bless her.

Friendless.

Hers are the cries

of the gulls on the shore,

mourning her losses,

dreaming of

home.

Well, if I had time and energy today, this would trigger a crying jag for sure. Sometimes you cut–beautifully–to the quick (or heart’s marrow, as I prefer to describe it). Great work, Melody–God bless you–love, Caddo

Thank you, Caddo! Sometimes Truth is hard for our heart’s marrow to process…

Thank you, Stacey! I actually will regretfully decline – I am honored by your nomination, but no longer accept awards – it just takes me too long to post about! But I do appreciate your thoughtfulness and the fact that you are enjoying my work means a lot! 🙂
