Life should come with a warning label,
a ‘Slippery When Wet’ sign
to be hung on foreheads;
a demarcation of disillusion
that could lower our expectations.
But in the very slickest slip
is contained the charm,
the whimsy,
the vulnerability
painted in uncertainty
which brands our flutterings
as human –
imperfection perfected,
the mark of
Craftsmanship Divine.
I’m all for those warning labels!! God bless you, Melody–love, Caddo
Disclaimers are good, too…
Yes they are–I suspect not everyone reads the small print, or believes warnings and disclaimers, eh? That would explain a lot of “mess ups”.
I just love the pictures of all your beautiful flowers, and your poetry is delightful.
Thank you, Wendy! I appreciate your visits tonight.
Same to you. I’ve been in blog world most of today since church. I think it’s time to shut the iPad down. Goodnight.
Beauty sleep comes in handy, doesn’t it? Especially in avoiding the ‘grouchies’… Goodnight!
