I Want to Know!

Frosted buttons, frozen rays, smiling through your icy pain. What gives you the strength to grin? What’s imbedded deep within that gives you grace to overthrow what freezes others; I want to know!

Frosted buttons, frozen rays,

smiling through your icy pain.

What gives you the strength to grin?

What’s imbedded deep within

that gives you grace to overthrow

what freezes others;

I want to know!

    I love both this photo and poem. They meet me where I am at this morning. I hope I can smile sincerely, as I brave today’s, potentially, icy visit…
    Thank you ~ Wendy

      Ice is hard to shed – but there is power at our disposal – so in Christ, it can be done! 🙂

        So true! I have made it graciously, and even joyfully, through the first half of the visit. One half to go and I pray that I remain in the vine as I walk through it. ~ Wendy

    Oh Melody, it has to be the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ that gets us through the icy pain. Love melts those cold dark places.
    Thanks for this…I needed to be reminded as our family is grieving the loss of a little foster child named Gracie who just went back to her dad.

      Ouch! It is so hard to understand why these little ones are replaced with those who are not good for them – the system is so sadly broken, isn’t it?
