If beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
then beauty is what I behold.
My eyes trace your veins,
your rough edges,
the places where you have been bruised by life’s bumps and grinds.
I see the vulnerable places,
where skin is transparent,
where cellophane wraps cells
in discomfiture,
uncertainty stretches you taut.
Human-packaged humanity,
comfort in warped wrap,
friendship in flawed form.
Yet here,
now,
I behold you –
real.
Imperfect.
Beautiful…
I behold the beauty of this post!
🙂 Thanks Rosy!

True! Thanks Wendy!
This is a beautiful poem and pic, showing us about beauty that is not perfect, but still perfectly beautiful! Thank you, Melody!
I love what you got from this one – well said, Debbie!
“Friendship in flawed form”–that’s pretty much what we’re going to get, so I’m going to do my best to cherish it. God bless you–love, your imperfect friend, Caddo
Back at ya – from an equally imperfect friend!
