Jump for joy, Johnny,
jump for joy –
your days are numbered,
come-lately boy.
The frost approaches,
so seize the day,
and count each moment
before it fades.

These tiny violets spring up in cool weather during the spring and fall. Β We call them ‘Johnny-jump-ups’!
Haai.. like this picture.. π would you like to visit my site? I know it’s in Indonesian but i’ll so glad if you would.. Thanks before.. π
Hello! I will try to check it out today… Nice to meet you! π
okay π nice to meet you too.. π
My great aunt gave me some of these, she called them 5 o’clocks. I love them, and get lots of compliments on them.
It is so sweet how they bloom in the cooler in-between times when the garden is otherwise not at its best. I always appreciate their tenacity! π
We get them here, too. My daughters love to go through the yard and pick bouquets of them. Although, we had our 1st frost, so I don’t know how much longer they’ll be around!
We have had a few nights in a row now with frost – so that’s it, I’m afraid, for the season. Time to find things of beauty in places other than the garden!
A pleasure to see you Johnny! π
I like this–a fun poem! And thank you for telling me that they’re violets! God bless you–love, Caddo
Hey – I can be fun. When forced…
“Forced fun”…yeah, I think I had to do that in my earlier “other” life. Glad the memories are pretty fuzzy, now.
π For-real fun is by far the better, eh?
WAY “eh”!!
Beautiful images: written and photographic.
Thank you very much! π
