Autumn sky, in advanced stages of labour,
struggles, pants;
ripe with womb’s distension,
she moans,
pacing,
her anxiety and pain
threatening to overwhelm.
She has forgotten to breathe.
Between contractions,
she recalls her training;
sudden intake of lungs delivers
North Wind fury.
Together,
they bring forth a son,
and name him
Snow…

The sky, pregnant with snow, was surly and strange and wonderful all day today. I could only capture the smallest portion of its wild beauty…
And a great one it was …
Not enough snow to stick around, just an awesome sky – hopefully we have a few more snow-free weeks still ahead of us…
Wow, this is incredible. I love it!
Great! Thank you very much! 🙂
This is wonderful and fascinating, Melody!
I wish I could have somehow captured that strange and wonderfully tempestuous sky! There’s another one this evening, too – very creative clouds and colouring. art at its finest!
I am loving what He brings you to capture for us, now in the sky! 🙂 Thanks Melody!
Today’s skies were glorious, too – nice to have some photographic options despite the dying garden!
Very creative your words allow me to taste and feel the moment captured in your picture. God is the ultimate artist his creation is breath taking. I wonder if there are words capable of describing the beauty that awaits us in heaven?
Isn’t it fun to think about that? ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard…’ What a day to look forward to!
Nature explained 🙂
But of course! 🙂
