Hope is evergreen,
juniper under snow,
roots splitting cement
to grow oaks in a concrete jungle.
Hope breathes under water,
snatches fodder from the fire,
counts shooting stars in the fog,
paints masterpieces without a brush.
Hope lives in prisoner’s eyes,
feeds the hungry,
declares poverty a crime,
because Hope is
evergreen.
Yup!

Right on, eh!
Marvelous. I love your evergreen message of hope in this poem!
Thanks Lori! I guess hope is like that – or it isn’t hope! 🙂
Ah, hope is a wonderful thing!
Indispensable, really! 🙂
The touch snow in your pictures looks amazing. I just don’t want it here yet. I will continue to apprecaite it from afar 😉
Today a lot of it melted – but I’m afraid the onslaught is inevitable… Enjoy your non-snow moments! 🙂
Hope is evergreen, what a neat theme. Another great post.
Thank you! I like to find lessons in what I see in nature – I’m glad that you see them, too!
you’re right. Hope is green like spring. 🙂
It’s a good picture for it, isn’t it? Thank you…. 🙂
yes, it’s a very good picture, in harmony with lyrics. 🙂
Very beautiful, meaningful–photo and verse. God bless you with continued hope to give strength for the journey–love, Caddo
