Tucked In

The garden takes a hard-earned rest beneath its Mother’s snowy breast; beneath a quilt of fallen snow, the roots snore on, tucked in below.

The garden takes a hard-earned rest

beneath its Mother’s snowy breast;

beneath a quilt of fallen snow,

the roots snore on, tucked in below.

    Melody, I love this..the picture says it well. Your words well written. Love the thought of resting and tucked in under mother’s snowy breast!

      Thank you Glenda! I write now and again about the notion of being tucked in – I guess I like the security and safety of the concept.

    I hope you like the snow, Melody!
    Yesterday, we had our first drops of wet snow during rain. It usually snows for the first time each year on Veteran’s Day – hard to believe but an observed phenomenon. Today, we had a few light snowflakes, that’s all.
    You are tucked in like the garden? It is time to sleep for new growth? The photos are wonderful. Snow is one of my favorite things, just as the song says.

      I do like the snow – it just is around for too long and outstays its welcome, as far as I am concerned… It sure has been beautiful lately! Thanks for dropping by, Maria!
