You think
that these layers of cold pseudonyms,
6-ply stratification,
red-herring Venetian mask
will conceal inadequacy
and cloak sparse spirit,
but I see you;
your true colours
spill through the cracks
of your costume.
Fig-leaf false fronts
are destined to fall;
lay smoke screen aside
so I can
touch the true self,
and be blessed by your
candid camera.

Why, thank you! 🙂
Wow, what a photo, eh?!
That was the day I missed the sunrise to get to church – the frost was PINK and so heavenly! I’m counting on another opportunity one day…
Oooh, pink frost–I love it!!!
The specific allusions you selected are perfect for this theme–one I love. Genius.:)
Thanks so much, Gwen! I am honored by your high praise!
