Take a Step Back

If you can’t see the trees for the forest and you can’t see the sun for the glare, then take a step back into silence, and let Truth respond to you there.

and you can’t see the sun for the glare,

then take a step back into silence,

and let Truth respond to you there.

Such a lovely sentiment in this, thank you for posting 🙂 funny, but I wrote a Haiku the other day with a very similar message to this! http://franceselizabethclarke.wordpress.com/2012/12/10/in-the-midst-of-things/

      You’re right – very similar theme! 🙂

I think especially at this time, we need to “take a step back” lest we get swept in the rush of the world around us and miss the meaning of what we’re celebrating.

So true! It’s so hard to strike that balance. I am slowly learning to say no to things that are unnecessary, or that I am not called to do, so that I have energy for what is really important. This time of year is more difficult than any, I think, to find that balance.

O, sweet Melody, once again your song of poetry has taken me away! I just love your poetic style. Simple direct and incredibly complex. 🙂 Eric

I loved this one SO MUCH! Another lesson for me . . .step back, be silent . ..be still and know that He is God. Thank you!!!

Isn’t there a lot to process? No wonder we need a lifetime of refinement…

    Henri Nouwen would agree completely.
