On the plank, with courage failing,
feeble steps toward the light;
last year’s lessons, pirates wailing,
next year’s mystery, a fright.
Going back , out of the question,
going forth, a terror grave;
gentle Hope, lead this procession,
guide my steps, and paint me brave.
I’m definitely feeling this one–great work, Melody. I can hear the pirates wailing, especially after waking from a horrid nightmare 2 hours ago. But His Hope will surely lead us, I am confident of that, truly! And we ARE Brave, Mel–we ARE. God bless you BIG–love, sis Caddo
How long can bravery hold??? *sigh* As long as it must, apparently…
Well I don’t mean to be flip, at all–but I think as long as we can hold up the banner of Faith and keep the humor rolling, we’ll manage quite well. Alert: I have a doozy of a post coming up (not sure which day)–I’ll either be applauded by the true believers, or burned at the stake (which translates as “unfollowed”, “unliked” in the blogs, eh?)…Love to you this Lord’s Day.
You’ve got me curious, Ma’am…
I saw the title and was thinking pirates. Then it quickly got serious and I felt it too.
Too much Johnny Depp over the holidays, mate…
Great expression, Melody! “gentle Hope, lead this procession,
guide my steps, and paint me brave.” — you go, girl!
Sorry, it’s me: Yun Yi.

doing good. i just got my wordpress domain for my my artclasses. i love it!
WP is very nice to work with – I love it, too! I have much more success and a very dedicated following over here, versus blogspot.
🙂 Thanks! I think I just might!
Thank you for helping us rally and walk in faith this day! God bless you and fill you with Hope anew!
Thanks Debbie!
Paint me brave too!
Sure! The more, the merrier! 🙂
