Frozen lava, heart imprisoned,
Groaning ‘neath its bitter chains.
Winter threatens its extinction,
Freezing hope that dares remain.
Volcanism’s flow resurges,
Only to be petrified;
Magma’s tender chambers stiffen,
lock the gift of warmth inside.

But the glow is still there waiting for its time.
Right! ‘This too shall pass…’
Melody, I love that blue sky in the background – it really sets off the beautiful warm colors of the “frozen lava”. My favorite line is “Freezing hope that dares remain.” We are consumed by life’s lava without it!
Warm Blessing ~ Wendy
Amazing title. That is just such a thought-provoking image, “frozen lava.”
Thank you! (I thought I had already replied to this one, but it popped up as not – so if you got 2 responses, ignore the least beautiful of them, will you?) 🙂
Gorgeous–photo, and word play.
Thank you Caddo! You always seem to ‘get’ me..
