Frozen Lava

gardenorb

Frozen lava, heart imprisoned,

Groaning ‘neath its bitter chains.

Winter threatens its extinction,

Freezing hope that dares remain.

Volcanism’s flow resurges,

Only to be petrified;

Magma’s tender chambers stiffen,

lock the gift of warmth inside.

    But the glow is still there waiting for its time.

  2. Melody, I love that blue sky in the background – it really sets off the beautiful warm colors of the “frozen lava”. My favorite line is “Freezing hope that dares remain.” We are consumed by life’s lava without it!
