Frozen Lava

Frozen lava, heart imprisoned, Groaning ‘neath its bitter chains. Winter threatens its extinction, Freezing hope that dares remain. Volcanism’s flow resurges, Only to be petrified; Magma’s tender chambers stiffen, lock the gift of warmth inside. * For more on this topic, visit my sister blog at Growing With God in my Garden

Frozen lava, heart imprisoned,

Groaning ‘neath its bitter chains.

Winter threatens its extinction,

Freezing hope that dares remain.

Volcanism’s flow resurges,

Only to be petrified;

Magma’s tender chambers stiffen,

lock the gift of warmth inside.

    But the glow is still there waiting for its time.

      Right! ‘This too shall pass…’

    Melody, I love that blue sky in the background – it really sets off the beautiful warm colors of the “frozen lava”. My favorite line is “Freezing hope that dares remain.” We are consumed by life’s lava without it!

      Thank you! (I thought I had already replied to this one, but it popped up as not – so if you got 2 responses, ignore the least beautiful of them, will you?) 🙂
