Evergreen

Frozen, wrapped in icicle lights, pummelled with Arctic blasts; snow-whipped, frigid-crisped, cursed with frosty casts. Short days, perennial nights, benumbed betwixt and between; underdogged, trodden-downed, and yet – evergreen.

Frozen,

wrapped in icicle lights,

pummelled with Arctic blasts;

snow-whipped,

frigid-crisped,

cursed with frosty casts.

Short days,

perennial nights,

benumbed betwixt and between;

underdogged, trodden-downed,

and yet –

evergreen.

    It really is amazing isn’t it? Does anyone know how we can make evergreen clothing? It would be so resilient it would never wear out!

    “Benumbed betwixt and between”–is that a fabulous phrase or what?!!!

    Your play on evergreen made me think about my christian walk. The phrase snow-wipped frigid-crisped sometimes when we live out our faith some people hurl abuse or freeze you out but if you remain focused on christ you can come out protected evergreen if you will take care

      So true. I wrote more about that very same theme on my gardening blog, if you are interested… http://melodylowes.blogspot.com/2013/01/evergreen.html

      And the good thing is, the frozen circumstances don’t last forever – there is always hope for better around the corner. Blessings to you!
