Especially the calm after a storm! I had a weekend of driving many miles in a variety of winter conditions and appreciate the calm of a snowbank today! ๐
It’s great, of course–and I’m pondering the last line, only because when I’m asleep and dreaming, the setting of the dreams is never my home. I always dream that I’m elsewhere, and often younger/thinner/gorgeous again. Weird, huh?
Very good poem, and well written.
Thank you very much! ๐
You’re very welcome.
I certainly get the peacefulness of freshly laid snow

Ah, that makes me feel calm and sleepy. Like warm milk and honey.
Put-you-to-sleep-poetry… I’ll take that as a compliment! ๐ hee hee

Hmmm – never been, so I don’t go there in my dreams. But I dream of a Home to come – as I know you do, as well…
Melody, this is so peaceful! Oh I miss the sunshine – it looks so lovely on the snow… But my “heart is home” and I will enjoy my dreams of spring.

We are in the grip of yet another storm system, so I am eagerly waiting for the sunshine, too! It has been a blustery, bullying winter…
Sounds more exciting than gloomy gray days… but I think I’ll stay here for now. Hope your power stays on for you.
Ah, yes – we take that so for granted, don’t we? What a lovely thing to have running warm water and so many conveniences….
I’m with Wendy .. .this one was peaceful to me too! Thank you and God bless you!
Thanks Debbie! ๐
