Silent Stillness

Silent stillness, snow at rest,

Serenity’s sleep at calm’s request;

Calamity’s flurry provoked your roam,

but here in slumber, your heart is home.

    I certainly get the peacefulness of freshly laid snow

    Ah, that makes me feel calm and sleepy. Like warm milk and honey.

    It’s great, of course–and I’m pondering the last line, only because when I’m asleep and dreaming, the setting of the dreams is never my home. I always dream that I’m elsewhere, and often younger/thinner/gorgeous again. Weird, huh?

  5. Melody, this is so peaceful! Oh I miss the sunshine – it looks so lovely on the snow… But my “heart is home” and I will enjoy my dreams of spring.
