I stopped to rest in snowy wood,
where tree-nymphs at attention stood
to guard the Path that leads to Hope;
I pondered on that frigid slope
that moving feet must bend their will,
or stay in snowy forest still.
So trudging on, determined more,
I soon arrived at Hopeful Shore.

What path will your feet choose this day?
Thank you Melody for this beauiful prose and picture. The snow here is just about that deep. Recuperating from a week of flu and being in, I can so relate to bend my will, trudge on back to wellness, and believe in Hope to be strengthened again.
There are days when we choose to stay in the frozen places – and days when our steps bring us higher still! May this be one of those days for you, Glenda…
This is so Wow-Wonderful–kind of another take on R. Frost, maybe? I especially love “Hopeful Shore”–sounds like a wonderful name for an estate, or retreat house, eh?
I connected with this one. Choosing is important.
Oops – this one slipped through unanswered. Sorry, Lyle..
I’m on the other side of the world. My feet walk across the sand leaving footprints in time. Thank God those days are different and that makes life intersante wing and writer Paulo Coelho wrote Brazil. Thank you for such wonderful letters.

WOW, the colour of the snow is perfect and the shade give the depth.
The blur on the background show the way to the centre of interest.
Thank you
Oops – my apologies for not answering this comment sooner… 😦 Thanks for adding your thoughts here!
This was so encouraging, Melody! Thank you!
🙂 Thanks Debbie!
I always prefer to take that hopeful path too 🙂
Have a great week Melody!
Thanks! You too! 🙂
I think the path to Hopeful Shore looks good. Thanks for the directions.
🙂 Thanks!
Melody, this reads like a classic! We just finished reading ‘Pilgrim’s Progress’, and this makes me think of it. Nicely done!
Blessings ~ Wendy
Thanks Wendy! I’ve always loved those stories of the pilgrimage – much to ponder there.
I can’t wait to sit beside you in heaven and hear the prose that rolls off your tongue when describing our new eternal home. If there are any words to honor such a moment you will find them!
What a glorious thought! Won’t that be an exciting time?? I am truly honoured by your incredible praise and encouragement…
This is marvelous, Trudger along the Way!!
Me too, going there also, moving along… !
Maria
