I and my board on a frozen sea,
catching the waves waving back at me,
suspended in time with my lens as we
capture each drifting curl.
Prairie is still with the shell’s great roar,
diving in deep to experience the more,
ocean’s delights on a landlocked shore,
watching each crest unfurl.

I so love the sea – and literally live 1,000 miles away from the nearest, so any time I can take a mental beach break, I do! Β
Very beautiful! And I share your love of the sea, as you know π
Thank you! I wonder how many there are who DON’T love the sea? It seems to be so universal a thing to love…
Great photo, great poem and a strange twist with the prairie ocean lover.
Thanks Lyle! These last ones had me sinking in the surf – they’re not quite so rock-solid as they were a week ago…
Too cold to wear my bathing suit on that wave! Brrr…
Yeah. (Should I admit that my ‘board’ in this instance was actually my snowshoes?) π
I can see the sea if I look right π
This is a great poem and photo Melody
Thanks Alastair! π
π
Wonderful, Melody. You’ve got it, baby! Such an artist. π
π Thanks Eric!
wow! What a fabric of a verse!
Those waves must be credited – a great inspiration!
Lovely beach break.
π Now, back to reality…
that’s pretty cool, Melody!
Thanks Heidi! π

Thank you very much! Enjoy your day…
