Old Friend

Old friend, I haven’t seen you for so long. You have hidden yourself away, a self-imposed hiatus. Do you not hear the call? The Sun woos once again; it is time to take up your burden and enter the land of the living.

Old friend,

I haven’t seen you for so long.

You have hidden yourself away,

a self-imposed hiatus.

Do you not hear the call?

The Sun woos once again;

it is time to take up your burden

and enter the land of the living.

Oh this is nice and personal–I was so hoping to see the sundial, but I s’pose it’s buried, eh?

It just rose above its circumstances this week, and I can see its head. Soon, soon…

“Rose above its circumstances”–wow, I LOVE that. Can hardly wait for my sundial–you realize, if I ever get north to see you, the first thing I’ll want is to view it (even before refreshments)–and maybe you could take a pic of me by it….dreamin’ is a free vacation!

I think I am going to cry 😦

Maybe we could have a joint pity-party? 😉

I think this old friend misses you too.

      Thanks, Rosy…

It took me a little bit to figure out what it was, and I couldn’t believe it was a chair! Really showed how deep your snow still is up north. So surreal, our trees are flowering with mad frenzy. How diverse is nature!

This is the latest spring I can remember – and we have had record amounts of snow, to top it all off. Let me tell you, when I get out in my garden in shirt sleeves, I might just have to celebrate!!! 😉

I just found out we are having snow tomorrow. A bizarre winter storm, this may be the latest on record for Missouri. Goodbye beautiful buds and flowering trees….sob!

Oh, no! That’s heartbreaking… Hopefully not everything will be damaged. I’m so sorry…

Oh my gosh, that one is buried deep.

I couldn’t even FIND my sundial until a few days ago! Slowly, slowly, all my old friends are returning to my view.

Oh that poor chair / bench! Praying it gets set free soon . . .and sat on too! Thanks, Melody!

I am looking forward to that for sure!!
