Softly

Softly steals the sun to sleep, softly sun makes snowbanks weep; feather-soft is evening breeze, Winter’s brought to softened knees.

Love this thought…winter is brought to softened knees.

And we went from so much snow to spring almost overnight – the robins and geese and ducks are happily singing away tonight – what balm to a winter-weary soul! There is still a lot to melt – but Wow! What a difference a day can make!

so fun!! and beautiful at the same time–the “softened knees” of winter…what an image! I have an idea of a huge snowman with knees all of a sudden…

🙂 Poetry is so visual, isn’t it? That’s a great mental picture! Thanks so much Charron for your comment and your visits…
