Seeing

If naked eye could split the light into prismatic rays, or filter out pollution’s glare and see through living’s haze, mind could tally up the ifs, the wherefores and the whys – and not need a prescription drawn to make sense of good-byes.

Indeed. And there is actually real pollution in our air today and it is playing havoc with my eyes and vision.

All the more to teach us about refining our spiritual and emotional vision!

The haze of living is so true, also the haste of living. But one may also need prescription to make sense of things we see if we could really see…

Goodbyes are always difficult; Unless, of course, you’re headed to Hawaii or some other nice place for a vacation (which in my case would either be Northern California to see the Redwoods or Colorado for the Rockies…but I digress). I’m thankful that God is with me so that when I can’t make sense of life, I can still trust Him.

So true! And I am learning that this trying so hard to make things that don’t make sense make sense is dizzying and often a wasted effort. Rather than asking ‘why?’, I can ask “What do I do with this?” I’m with you on the saying good-bye to go to Hawaii… 😉

You brought back to memory that great Gordon Lightfoot song, “The Wherefore and the Why.”

    1. melodylowes

Have to look that one up – it’s not ringing any bells. 🙂

      1. Robert Rife

We used to sing it in clubs a thousand years ago.

      2. melodylowes

You and your thousand years and gazillion degrees… 🙂

      3. Robert Rife

For the thousandth time, I NEVER exaggerate. Moreover, I NEVER lie. EVER.

      4. melodylowes

🙂 Good to hear. For the millionth time.

      1. bennetta faire

“Bennetta Wows”–now that sounds like a regular column/post in the works, maybe! Thanks for your always generous creative boosts!!

      2. melodylowes

😀 I can’t wait to see what you do with that!
