Sail Me Past Summer

Sail me past summer on coral-spun seas, Scent me with harvest, on harvest-spun breeze; Usher me crisp-leaved to autumnal days, Wrap me in autumn with coral-crisp rays.

Sail me past summer on coral-spun seas,

Scent me with harvest, on harvest-spun breeze;

Usher me crisp-leaved to autumnal days,

Wrap me in autumn with coral-crisp rays.

    So beautiful.
Goes perfectly with the changes of seasons that we are starting to see & feel nowadays.
    Happy weekend Melody 🙂

Yay Friday! 🙂 Thanks Rosy – have a wonderful weekend…

Been watching the green everywhere turning to a lighter shade 😦 I guess it’s inevitable …

It has been super hot and dry here so the leaves are simply drying up and falling without further ado. Blech. I hope there will be some pretty colours, too…

Oh how I will miss spring and summer.

    1. melodylowes

ME, too. 😦 I am setting it as my goal, though, to use my eyes to find the beautiful things in every day, every season. I might need reminding when the cold weather comes… 😉

You have the prettiest colours in your poem and photo so hopefully that helps with the general dry Blech. It made me feel happy 🙂

Happy is good! I’m using my ‘glory eyes’ today, to see what is still beautiful before the colours all turn white. 🙂

      1. Gallivanta

‘Glory Eyes’ are the best sort 🙂

I found something fun! I had left my beans to dry down to save some seed – and have a lovely gleaming pile of purple bean seeds to save for spring. Glory eyes are wonderful! 😉

        Oh, gorgeous!

Bring it on. I am so tired of the heat and want my favourite season to start.

🙂 My classroom has been stifling – it wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all to feel a bit more autumn. And yet, I am trying to memorize the way the sun feels, too, so save it up for those days to come when it will feel so weak. Fall has always bothered me – this year, I want to enjoy it to the full. Somehow. I’m working on it…

I think the key is not to dread winter.

      2. melodylowes

Perhaps so. Each day has something lovely in it to be seized and enjoyed…

Signs of Fall are all around me. And then I read this and I started thinking that we just seemed to turn the page from poems about winter and they will be back again in a blink. Time rushes by so these days. Oh the places your poems take me….

🙂 Isn’t Time a strange thing? I feel as though it was a week ago that I was waiting for spring. I want to make sure I enjoy the signs of autumn, the unique beauty of this season.

Melody, I enjoyed reading (more than once) your lovely autumnal offering!
