Her alibi is iron-clad –
Time is standing still;
Heart has fallen like the leaves,
Swallowing the will.
She didn’t mean to lose herself,
Get taken at the flood;
He swept her off her willing feet
When Love began to bud.
Her alibi is iron-clad – Time is standing still; Heart has fallen like the leaves, Swallowing the will. She didn’t mean to lose herself, Get taken at the flood; He swept her off her willing feet When Love began to bud.

Oh how lovely, you’ve captured the vibe of this season so well. 🙂
Thank you very much! 🙂
BEAUTIFUL ballade! Can’t you just see her acquiesce like a Southern Belle !
Why, thank you, Ma’am! 😉
It’s the sundial! Looking very autumnal. I hardly know it without its snow covering.
🙂 That will come, I’m sure!
Yes, for sure, it will be ‘dressed’ in time for Christmas.
Beautiful! Such is love…
🙂 So it is!
Well, at last!! My fave, the sundial–I ran across a few photos of them in my file, but they mostly look summery so I’m not sure I’ll be able to use them well. Thanks so much–I enjoy this autumnal timepiece.
🙂 Time ticks on…and another seasonal change has come.
You’re cordially invited to my party on Thursday–new place, old name–I’m saving you a seat, and a plate!!
Nice!! I’ll be there! 😉
