Gravity snowed your shoulders cold,
bent your burdened frame,
watched while troubles multiplied,
whispered words of shame;
Ascension climbed on trouble’s back,
chose the way of love –
soared above the blizzard where
forgiveness reigns above.

A fitting tribute to Mandela. Was it him you had in mind when you wrote this? Such beautiful words Melody.
I actually DID think of him – the ad for his new movie coming up was playing as I wrote. I think it has a lot of other possibilities, too – but that theme of forgiveness was pretty strong. Thanks!
WOW, Melody … these are amazing words! Tried to pick my favorite line … but ALL of it awesome~
hehe Now THAT is truly a great goal to set – to make every line an equal favourite! Imagine….
Wow-Wonderful.
🙂 Thanks Caddo…
Interesting! I immediately thought of Mandela too 🙂
Good! He certainly has set a good example of overcoming trials through forgiveness – that is a great reversal in my books!
We really do reflect nature & vice versa! BEAUTIFUL Melody! Merry Christmas dear~ Debbie
